The People Behind the hit T.V music show American Idol did not waste any second after Paula Abdul left the show, they started looking for the next best thing and it seems that they found her.. Victoria Becham aka Posh Spice is going to take the place of Paula Abdul as a judge in the new season of American Idol. Personally i think that this is a smart move not only because she is a very talented artist and she knows exactly what she’s going to do on the show, but also because she’s one of the most recognizable and most loved celebrities in the world, and that alone will increase the number of viewers on that show..

Victoria Talked to Ryan Seacrest on his show on KIIS-FM and talked about what she’s expecting from the show and how her relationship with Simon is going to be, She’s expecting alot of disagreements with the guy but she really loves his honesty and she’s said that she has the same British sense of humor that he has:

“I like that fact that’s he’s honest. I think he’s very funny, He has a very tongue-in-cheek British sense of humor, which I have too. I’m looking forward to a bit of banter. I hope he does give me a little bit of a hard time. I love that. I feed off of that”. She also said about an old experience with Simon  “He is the only man in the music industry who turned down the Spice Girls and said we would never work.”  Ryan asked Victoria if she’s going to fill Paula’s shoes in the show, and how exactly is she going to deal with contestants and if she’s going to be tough or nice, she said : “I want to be nice to people. I know how it feels to stand there and be judged. I don’t want to shatter anybody’s dreams, but at the same time there’s nothing wrong with constructive criticism.” Victoria was asked if she feels guilty for taking Paula’s spot on the show, she said:“I don’t. I’m a spiritual person and I believe that you get back what you put out there, and I hope she does something that is bigger and better. There’s something great for her around the corner, I’m sure.”
