Formation of Election Committee of Year 2003

Dear all,

As the period of candidate nomination for new CSSA president ends, Council of Chinese Students and Scholars Representatives (CCSSR) is holding the responsibility to form an election committee according to CSSA constitution.

The election committee should include 7-9 members, partly from representatives in CCSSR, partly from individual volunteer members and partly from personal representative of the candidate themselves.

The election committee would take full charge of the entire election procedure.

Given there is only one candidate, Cheng Peng, running for new president this year, the election committee would hold a convention on July 12th to evaluate the qualification of Cheng Peng to be a new president of CSSA.

In the convention, Cheng Peng would present his plan for futher work of CSSA and open to questions from election committee as well as audience attending the convention. The election committee would judge whether he qualifys the position or not base on his plan and the answers to all the questions.

Recruitment of CCSSR Representatives

June 1st

To maximize the impact of CCSSR, we are looking forward to having representatives coming from as diverse backgroud as possible. Currently, we are aiming at having at least one representative coming from each department so that we could reach a wide-spread connection among all members in CSSA. If you are interested in becoming a representative for your department and contributing a little bit of your effort to make our community better, please contact CCSSR@umich.edu to nominate yourself.
